23 Things

I have really enjoyed this class. Some things were a little harder than others for me.
I had fun doing all of the things. The funny thing is I almost withdrew from this class because I was making it a lot harder than what it was. I was overwhelmed at first because there were so many things to do. I am very glad Idid not drop out. Once I got determined and put everything else aside it has been a lot of fun and a lot of work. I have throughly enjoyed this class.

I think the google reader has been one of my favorites. I have read a lot of interesting things. I also love delicious. It has saved me some time. I have learned many different things. I would definitely take another class like this one. I will keep up my blog. It is fun and a good way to express the way you feel. I can also create a new one.

THANKS!!!!! I have learned so much. If you decide to do another one similar to Learning 2.0 please let me know....

Thing #23

I absolutely love the Ning site. I had so much fun creating it. It was so easy. I would recommend to anyone. I think it is easy enough most anyone can do it. I have found many discussions of value.
I found Schools and Online Social Networking by Nancy Willard. It really had some good points. I am not sure how you could use this as a classroom learning tool. I am really interested if anyone can share some ideas.

Thing #22

I like face book. I am not sure about myspace. My son had created me an account a while ago and now I cannot access it. I was not aware that so many nasty pictures were allowed. I only let him set me one up so I could look at his from time to time. I joined face book and you can click here for my profile. I think it is important as educators to know how social networking works so we can teach our kids the right way to use this great tool. It seems to me that people that use face book seem to be older and more respectful with what they use and how they talk to others. My space from what I have seen seems to most like a way to rebel against their parents. What I mean by this is they can create a my space account for free and put anything they want on there no matter how bad it is and there is not much parents can do because most of the time their parents do not know. I like the face book calendar. On my space I like the different choices you have as far as background. I also like the way face book is set up. I think the calendar on face book will be most useful to me. I personally cannot see an educational application for this site. I work with Kindergarten. Maybe if I was high school possibly.

I found something that I thought was really cool. It is called meetsee. You can create an online office meeting. You can collaborate and connect with others.  It would come in handy if you are too busy to meet in a regular office. It might be the next thing. It looks like a lot of fun. You can set one up and see what you think. I am looking forward to doing this.

Thing #21

I really love igoogle. It was alot of fun creating it. I also liked the google calendar. It is really cool. The things you can do with it are great. I can definitely use it for my family. I also have children that is in band, choir, football, golf and will be in basketball. I can keep up with my classes on it as well. The igoogle is very useful. I can keep all the sports, games, a to go list and lots of other things. With the google calendar I can send my family email reminders of upcoming events or even add them to their calendars. That is so helpful.

Thing #20

I have taken a class with the district on Google Docs and I loved it. There is so much you can do with them. My thoughts for documents were:

 1. Creating a spreadsheet of your students and their parents information.
Like email, phone numbers, student ID and addresses.

2. Sending out information to your parents for parents night or for an        upcoming project their child will be doing.

3. When you are pushed for time and you need to have a meeting with your team then you can send them a document on your idea and let them add their thoughts or make changes where necessary.
